Safer Life: Safety in the dark with luminous rings & flashers
Especially in the dark season, in the rain or at night, a luminous collar or Flashes1 is an important accessory for your dog. The luminous distinguishing feature attracts the attention of other walkers, car drivers, dog owners and also yours: if you let your dog run without a lead, the luminous collar will always help you to see her.
Flasher or luminous ring – what’s the difference?
Flasher or Blinkers are attached to the collar, harness or lead and in most cases can be set to different light options. They can flash on and off or shine continuously. The accessory can also be useful when you are out and about without your dog: simply attach the flasher to your jacket or rucksack and you will be more visible to other road users in the dark.
Luminous Rings and Light Bands are available in different materials and shapes: Wide flash light bands are especially suitable for long-haired dogs, as they do not disappear in the fur. Most can be set to different modes and provide slow and fast flashing light or continuous light in the dark. For those who like it colourful, the Flash Light Ring USB in multicolour is a particularly colourful companion.
Charging options and battery life
The charging options for the light-up collars and flashers vary: there are models with a long-lasting rechargeable battery that is charged via a USB connection, as well as battery-operated midels. The battery life depends on the model and the way it is used: For example, flashing light requires less battery and continuous light more – accordingly, the battery life is longer or shorter. Further details can be found in the item descriptions.
Which size fits?
Our luminous collars can all be shortened. You measure your dog’s head circumference very generously and choose the size. If you are between two sizes, we recommend that you buy the larger size. Then you can shorten the light ring so that it does not flap around on your dog and irritates her when she walks. The luminous collar should be wide enough to easily slip over your dog’s head when putting it on or taking it off.
